Christie really thrived as the deputy team leader of the medic team at the 2024 Desert ultra! Ive worked with christie before and have seen her strengths as a leader. She is calm and composed under duress, and very good at empowering others. I witnessed that once again this year. She did a wonderful job supporting her team lead, while also advising and supporting others. During one particular situation, I really appreciated her ability to asses and give her opinion in an uplifting manner. She definitely understands the nuance of leading and event like this, and she makes my job as a race director that much easier.

I have participated in numerous ultra events worldwide, during which Christie has provided medical support on several occasions. She has treated both my wife and brother-in-law, the latter for a leg injury that could have ended his race. Through Christie’s skill and care, he was not only able to continue but to perform at an even higher level. When my wife experienced overheating and exhaustion, Christie went far beyond routine treatment, ensuring she made a full recovery before safely rejoining the race.
Having competed in many endurance events, I have encountered a wide range of medical teams. However, when Christie is part of the medical support, I have complete confidence that my family and I will receive exceptional, timely, and compassionate care. She is, without question, an exemplar in her profession.
